HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR EVERYONE
Chinese New Year is always a festive that most of us look forward to. It’s always a time where all relatives would come together and celebrate this special occasion. And it’s not just a festive too, it’s also time for the company to credit our bonuses. *LOL* Though I have not been with this current company for more than a year, I’m still entitled to their bonus payout but at pro-rate. It’s better than nothing at all
This year I had my reunion dinner at Boy’s place too. Steamboat seems like the best choice for reunion dinner as it really gather everyone to sit around the same table, to eat, to chit chat, to gossip, to brag, to whatsoever. And the weather today was awesome, heavy downpour. It just make having steamboat indoor even more cosy than usual
But when it’s time to go home, I was just hoping that the rain could stop but it didn’t. Luckily I’ve got my dearest Boy to drive me home in that heavy rain if not I would have wasted money to cab home!
That’s all for today. I’m going to do some last minute touch up in my room and get ready for bed. House-visiting tomorrow
Boy said he’s gonna pick me up in the morning. He’s always there for me no matter what occasions, what circumstances, what situations. I love him
Ciaos!

Cycling in East Coast Park was one of the activity we did while I was clearing my leave for 2011. It’s best that
we go ECP on a weekday to avoid the crazy crowd on weekend. The weather was perfectly fine that very day.
We rented a bicycle for duo, the long long bicycle with 2 seats and 2 paddles. With the bicycle,
we cycled our way to the Bedok Jetty. Boy always love to go to the jetty because that’s where he get to see people fishing. He always wanted to try out fishing but lack the skill and also the fishing rod. Nevertheless, he still enjoyed himself looking at others fishing, be it big fishes or small fishes.
Photos are always more interesting than words. So……

Try spotting a rainbow in the photo below ![]()

This is what made him have that reaction : GIANT JELLYFISH!

We are looking forward to our next trip to ECP! This time round we won’t be cycling, but to roller blade ![]()

5th day after I left TTSH’s A&E, I am made to go back for a review. It really piss me off when I’m scheduled for an appointment and I’m still made to wait like 45 minutes. All I can blame is the post holiday blues. Today’s doctor is a lady, a Registrar, and I seriously do not like her. In less than 10 mins, I’m already out of the consultation room. She gives me a very “aloof” kind of character. I always prefer male doctor because they are usually more caring and more gentle.
All she did was the ordering of the CT scan of my abdominal and pelvis. Now I frustrated because it’s on two separate days. I so regretted that I didn’t stay in the hospital for a day for observation, and now I got to make more trips down to the hospital
The CT scan is going to cost me approx $300 and whole process is about 4 hours. Thinking if I should go for the scan or just get my appendix removed to minimise the hassle. *sigh
What should I do?

Just 3 days away from 2012 and I landed myself into Tan Tock Seng Hospital! It so happened that I had this SHARP pain on my lower right abdomen when I woke up to get ready for work. The pain was so extreme that I can’t really stand straight nor even I can walk without dragging my feet. Knowing how important December is, I insisted on going to work despite Boy telling me to go doctor and get it checked.
From my place to Orchard, the pain just didn’t get any better till I went for briefing at work. But Boy still texted and insisted I go to the doctor. So I went and the doctor suspected that I might have appendicitis. With Boy and my company insisting that I go to the hospital A&E to get checked before anything serious could happen. And I went… Of course with my dearest Boy, without him, I wouldn’t have the courage to go.
For the first time I registered for consultation in the A&E in TTSH. Service was rather bad with nurses and receptionist giving wrong directions and bad attitude. One telling you to give them the urine bottle once done, one telling you to hold on to the urine bottle till you seen the doctor. How unclear can they get?!
Waited for almost an hour before I get to see the doctor, a young, handsome doctor, probably in his late 20s?! He did the routine checks and also concluded that I might have appendicitis. When he said he’s going to take some blood sample from me, I thought it’s from my arm, but I’m so wrong. It’s from the back of my palm
And I cried because it was so damn painful when he adjusted the needle while trying to get the blood to flood smoothly into the tubes.
Then I was put on observation, on the BED and pushed into observation room for Xray and then back to observation room again. From 3pm, I waited for my doctor till about 5.15pm. For the 2 hours, I was put on drip
My first time being on drip and I really seriously don’t like it at all. With the drip, I’m bounded to the bed. This photo taken by Boy who kept me company while I was waiting for the doctor.

When the doctor finally came back to look for me, he suggested that I get warded for observation, probably for a day, depending on my condition. I rejected his suggestion because I’m really scare to stay in the hospital. It’s so spooky and you never know would your “neighbours” be nice or not. So the doctor arranged for a review on the 3rd of Jan to observe my appendix again. This time round, I would be going alone as Boy has to book in. My worst fear would be to go under the knife to remove the appendix before it ruptures. Hopefully everything would turn out fine. *pray hard*
Now the back of my palm is blue black because of the needle. Hopefully this blue black can disappear soon.
My 2012 resolution, GOOD HEALTH

The weather is just so unpredictable nowadays. One moment, big hot sun, another moment raining cats and dogs. My body is sensitive to climate changes and it responded by making me sick
VERY SICK, in fact. Infected tonsils started to kick off my on and off fever. Then to cough and flu. It’s been 2 weeks and I’ve seen 3 doctors, 3 set of antibiotics each time they would prescribe and I’m still not recovering
Now I’m heading to work in a hoarse voice, which is so “sexy”.
Back to work, N-O-W

I’m really so addicting to watching Bones nowadays! Amazingly awesome, two thumbs up! I started off with Season 6 and I completed within a single week. Taiwanese dramas or Korean dramas are kinda not my type of dish anymore. I just can’t get enough of Bones Season 6 and went to search high and low for all the other seasons. But I only found Season 4 and 5! Trying to slow down the speed to complete the both seasons! Apparently, Season 7 would be out in November. The thing is, I wouldn’t know if Singapore would aired it at the same time!
A little sneak preview of what’s gonna happen in Season 7!
I just can’t wait……..

MEETING MY BOY IN AWHILE
Posted by: Carol on: September 26, 2011
It’s been more than 2 months since I last blogged. I was quite caught up with work and still trying to adapt to the working hours. Now then even I’ve to work on weekends too. Time to accompany my Boy has been really precious. I thank him for being so understanding all the time.
This special day, the 26th, it’s not just a date in calender. 26th is a special day to us and we will remember the 26th every month.
Happy 51 months Anniversary, Baby <3
Thank you for the care and love you showered.
Thank you for hanging on during our toughest time.
Thank you for being so awesome all the time.
Thank you for being there for me.
And lastly, thank you for being part of my life.
51 months we have come so far.
Not a easy journey though.
A journey filled with unexpected hiccups.
And we’ve been through it.
Though life was never easy for us, it only matter who stayed on.
And that’s YOU

*Oops! I’m 2 days late to post this!*
Happy 4th Year Anniversary to US!
We’ve been pretty busy lately. Boy is busy with camp as they are involve in NDP 2011 and I’m busy with work and trainings! But nevertheless, we still manage to celebrate OUR anniversary
Due to my work schedule, we had to celebrate our anniversary one day in advance. We spent the entire day together, eating fast food that we love, walking down the helix bridge and along the river of Marina Bay Sands. It’s our virgin trip to the river near the Marina Bay Sands. The view at night was spectacular! We were both amazed by the scenery. That would most likely become part of our hangout in future! Boy’s intention was only to bring me to the helix bridge and catch the helicopters which are rehearsing for the NDP. End up we found a place that is so beautiful that we swear that we gonna go back again!
I’m mega touched by the fact that Boy came down all the way to have dinner with me on the actual day. Anniversary is not about having expensive meal or presents to impress each other. To me, it’s the effort that matters. Thank you, my sweetest Boy ever.
Not just on anniversary he made the effort to have dinner with me. I’ve already lost count of the number of times he came. He is just simply awesome
He will always be awesome!
Photos will be uploaded in the next post, most likely ![]()
